A-Grade
The premium selection. A-grade logs are cut to tight dimensional tolerances with consistent appearance, clean faces, and are free from structural defects. Ideal for feature walls, visible retaining walls, and any application where appearance and structural integrity are equally important.
To achieve A-grade classification, each log is individually assessed for structural integrity and the absence of significant fissures or stress fractures.
As a natural product, each log will vary slightly in dimension. Our A-grade logs are cut to the following estimated tolerances:

A practical mid-range option. B-grade logs meet structural requirements but may exhibit greater variation in dimension, minor surface cracking, or less consistent colouring. Well suited to functional retaining walls, rural applications, or where the stone will be partially buried or less visible.
To achieve B-grade classification, each log is assessed for structural soundness but may present with minor surface fissures or slight irregularities in dimension that fall outside A-grade tolerances.
As a natural product, each log will vary slightly in dimension. Our B-grade logs are cut to the following tolerances:

The utility grade. C-grade logs may carry more pronounced fissures, irregular shaping, or significant colour variation and are generally used where function takes priority over form — think back-of-wall fill, agricultural fencing, or rough retaining work where aesthetics are not a consideration.
To achieve C-grade classification, logs are assessed as structurally usable but may present with more pronounced fissures and irregular dimensioning, prioritising function over form and finish.
As a natural product, each log will vary slightly in dimension. Our C-grade logs are cut to the following tolerances:

Product Information
Our sandstone logs are sourced from our quarry in Canoelands, NSW, north of Sydney, where millions of years of geological pressure have produced a dense, durable stone with enduring warmth and character.
Our graded sandstone logs feature a natural rough split face finish, giving each piece its own unique character while providing excellent texture and grip for retaining walls, steps, and landscaping features. Due to the natural density of sandstone, our logs have an average weight of approximately 600 kg per lineal metre, so a standard 1M log weighs around 600 kg and a 2M log approximately 1,200 kg. This is important to keep in mind when planning site access and ground conditions ahead of delivery.
Handling and delivery
All deliveries are made using trucks fitted with an on-board forklift, meaning no crane or additional machinery is required on your end — as long as there is safe, level access to your desired drop-off point. Our team will work with you prior to delivery to confirm site suitability.
We deliver on a range of truck configurations depending on your order size and location. Use the table below to help plan your order:
(Note: Quantities can vary slightly depending on overall load weight due to truck capacity limitations)
